What this exercise trains
Yori marks the comparison point, while hou ga marks the side being preferred or described as more. The pattern can feel backwards at first, so practise it as a reusable sentence frame.
- A yori B no hou ga means B is more than A.
- Use adjectives after the comparison frame.
- Keep the frame intact before adding longer details.
