What this exercise trains
The masu form is a polite verb form used constantly in beginner Japanese. It is useful for speaking politely before learners master every casual form.
- Tabemasu means eat or will eat politely.
- Tabemasen means do not eat or will not eat politely.
- Tabemashita means ate politely.
