What this exercise trains
The particle o marks the thing directly affected by the action. It often appears before verbs like tabemasu, nomimasu, yomimasu, kakimasu, and benkyou shimasu.
- Find the action first, then ask what receives that action.
- Put o after the object noun or noun phrase.
- Do not use o for locations or destinations.
