What this exercise trains
Japanese past forms are built from word class. Verbs use ta-form or polite mashita. I-adjectives use katta. Na-adjectives and nouns use datta or deshita.
- Taberu becomes tabeta.
- Atsui becomes atsukatta.
- Kirei desu becomes kirei deshita.
